Happy New Year!
I'm guessing that we are all breathing a sigh of relief now that the snow is gone! While beautiful, it does make life even more complicated. Maybe those "snow" days gave you a little extra time to reflect on 2008 and establish a few "lists" for 2009. Here are just a few of my favorite New Year's Tips that are guilt free-you can put them into place today! • Visit at least one after Christmas sale! I like to wait until everything is 75% (or more) off and then I purchase my gift wrap, bags, ribbon, tags etc. Shop for those items that are not necessarily just for Christmas (solid color gift wrap that can be used anytime of year)!
• Find a calendar system that you really like and use it faithfully! Electronic or paper, big or small-there are so many options. Contact OAL if you need help choosing the right planner or electronic device. Vow to manage your time well in 2009!
• Eliminate all of the clutter from your life! I keep 2 large, clean garbage cans lined with trash bags (about $12 each) in my garage. One is labeled Donate, the other is labeled Consign. I add to these almost daily so that clutter is never allowed to accumulate. When they are full, I remove the plastic trash bags and deliver the items to the appropriate spot or call to have the donateable items picked up.
• Exercise daily! Something as simple as parking farther away from your favorite grocery store's entrance, to pacing while you talk on the phone allows you to burn hundreds of calories in a week's time! Keep it simple but commit to doing it daily!
• Take a Class! Organized at Last winter classes are listed below. Sign up with a friend and you each save $5 per class!
