This pantry was storing more than just food and kitchen items, making it a prime target for clutter pile up. No system was in place to keep items organized, so finding things quickly and conveniently was impossible.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
Kitchen and food items were taken out of the pantry, sorted by category, and edited according to usefulness, purpose, and expiration date. To help create a sustainable system of organization, bins with labels were used to hold like items.
BEFORE ORGANIZED AT LAST
This pantry was so full it was difficult to get in the door, not to mention find what was needed. The room had been taken hostage by bulk items. No system was in place to keep like items together, which helps eliminate product build-up and over purchasing.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
Categories were established on the shelves to give everything a "home" and keep like items together. Food items were binned and labeled to help keep the pantry shelving and floor free from messy spills or crumbs.
BEFORE ORGANIZED AT LAST
This area of the pantry was easy to reach and considered "prime real estate", yet it was cluttered with items the family seldom used.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
Seldom used and seasonal items were placed on higher shelves, while labeled bins and baskets containing everyday items like children's snacks and breakfast foods were placed on the lower, more accessible shelves.
BEFORE ORGANIZED AT LAST
This refrigerator was so cluttered with photos, magnets and papers that it created a chaotic eyesore in the middle of the kitchen.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
With fewer items, the refrigerator can still display important messages, photos, and papers without creating a sense of chaos in the room. Important school papers, photos and art are now rotated to help eliminate clutter and effectively "showcase" achievements.
BEFORE ORGANIZED AT LAST
This pantry was overflowing with food and kitchen products. It was packed so full that the back of the shelves held many expired items.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
To create a sustainable system of organization in this pantry, food and kitchen items were sorted by category and placed into labeled bins. The bins were then placed back on the shelves according to frequency of use. All expired foods were eliminated.
BEFORE ORGANIZED AT LAST
This spice cupboard was not being used efficiently and therefore easily became cluttered and disorganized. Spices in the back corner of the shelf were difficult to identify and locate.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
This cupboard was designated for cooking oils, condiments and spices - anything that did not help serve that purpose was taken out. Turntables were used to help make locating condiments and cooking oils easy. A spice rack was installed to keep spices neat and handy.
BEFORE ORGANIZED AT LAST
This medicine cabinet was so full; it was difficult to quickly locate needed items. This created a situation where almost half of the products were more than two years past their expiration date, and re-purchasing of the same product was common.
AFTER ORGANIZED AT LAST
Items were taken out of the cupboard, sorted by category, edited according to expiration dates, and contained in labeled bins. Now accessing needed medicines and supplies is quick and easy.
